Southwest Gardener
Phoenix, Arizona

Given the chance, the owners of this popular neighborhood garden specialty store seized the chance to relocate to a new, high visibility area location. They asked NM Interiors Group, which had handled Southwest Gardener’s prior remodel / expansion project, for support.

Southwest Gardener now shares a landmark building - a once popular steak house with wonderful bones and high ceilings – with a restaurant and a bookstore. The new store is significantly larger than the last one.

As one person generally manages the store, it was vital that the manager, standing at a centrally located sales counter, have the best possible view of the sales space.

The custom-designed sales counter created by NM Interiors for the preceding location has been retrofitted, enlarged and now anchors the new retail space. It incorporates a large umbrella that reinforces the garden theme and serves as a focal point. Walls of yellow and green serve as a backdrop for the retail display.

As the client’s relocation time-frame was short, NM Interiors delivered the required electrical, lighting, space plan, furniture and fixture drawings and layouts in just four weeks.

Design services included: custom millwork, furniture and finish selections, space planning, and construction drawings
