NM Interiors Group was sub-contracted by Michael Baker Jr., Inc. to prepare and provide structural interior design (SID) and comprehensive interior design (CID) packages for this two-story barracks in Texas. Both packages included interior finish specification/selections. The latter incorporated signage, pricing and design drawings, coordinated interior lighting and electrical drawings.
This facility was designed to serve and house over a thousand unattached soldiers. The design includes multiple, clearly marked and easily identified "neighborhoods" intended to enhance interaction within various sub-sets of soldiers.
Design services included: furniture and finish specification / selections, best values furniture determination analysis, interior signage design package, construction drawings, coordination of interior design with interior lighting and electrical drawings.
